With deep sadness, yet cherished memories, the Isaac A. David, Sr. Memorial School (IADSMS) Family announces the sudden passing of our beloved Officer-in-Charge and
Dean of Campus Life, Mr. A. Edward Johnson, Jr. “Scientific”, as Dean Johnson was affectionately called by students, parents, co-workers, and many others in the community-at-large, has been a stalwart member of our school family for 27 years, as well as a skilled educator, known for his excellent classroom management abilities. “Scientific” changed the face of physical education and ROTC, elevating these courses to levels of high standard
and respect from his students, colleagues, parents, and community members. As the Dean of Campus Life, “Scientific” fostered a respect in students for the democratic process of elections, and they were privileged to learn about the consequences of choice (good and
bad), under his guidance. To say that “Scientific” loved IADSMS is an understatement, and his passing creates a huge vacuum in all our lives. We thank God for blessing us with His loving and faithful servant “Scientific.”
Although we are bereft, we rejoice that he is now resting in peace in his heavenly home.
